Ducati 900 ss black and gold
When I bought this 900SS in 2009, it had been sitting in a shed for 28 years. Robert, the former owner of the bike, raced it from 1978 to 1981, which was the last year this bike was used before I acquired it. According to him, he purchased the bike brand new and took it straight to the race track. The modifications included the 87mm piston and Imola camshaft. Of course, the original 1978 color is supposed to be blue and silver, but I decided to paint it black and gold, my favorite colors for this bike. The motor still carries the aforementioned camshaft and piston. I have a great joy in riding this bike occasionally. In 2010, I attended the Ducati event in Mosport and asked Paul Smart to sign my bike.
